All Rivers Guide
Service owns and operates vehicles and vessels that are designed with
GREEN in mind.
We value our environment to the fullest. In our business
there is none without a healthy and productive Mother Earth.
Starting with our choice of vehicle that we use to tow our boats,
shuttle our customers, and drive the 20,000 plus miles per year, we found that the new
mid-size Toyota trucks and SUVs with V6 engines tow our light weight
aluminum boats perfectly well. All the while getting 5 mpg more
while towing our drift boats, 3 mpg more while towing our jet sled, and
best of all....when we are not towing anything we are right back up to
22 miles to the gallon...that's 6 miles more per gallon than a full size
vehicle!
The short wheel-bases on
these vehicles are priceless for getting YOU into some of our remote
river locations as
well.
We also run AMSOIL full
synthetic motor oil in ALL of our motors which gained us 1.5 mpg in our
vehicles and even more in our jet sled. By using these state of
the art lubricants we only need to change and dispose of our used oils
ONCE per year. With conventional oils we would be disposing of 6
times that amount per year.

MPG Comparisons:
When it comes to our boats, our environmental impact is even smaller.
We currently run two boats, a 16' drift boat powered only by oars and/or
electric motor, and a 20' jet sled powered by 2008 Yamaha four-stroke
engines. These engines don't smoke, burn oil, and are rated as
ultra-low emission engines. The fuel economy is almost double that
of the old style two-stroke engines which are actually on the verge of
being outlawed in some states. Although four-stoke engines are
several thousand dollars more per motor than a two-stroke, we decided
that the benefits to the environment, fuel economy, ultra quiet running,
and longevity proved more important than getting on the water for less
money. Our
20' sled can accommodate 4-5 anglers and we fill our boat on almost
every outing. This 20' sled is also just the right size for our
mid-size Toyota V6 SUV to tow. Its kind of like car-pooling...we
have a sensibly sized boat and vehicle which we accommodate the maximum
number of anglers for comfort and quality "versus" an oversized boat
that requires an oversized vehicle to tow and is only being filled on a
handful of outings a year.

"Thank you again for a great time on the Humptulips River. As you
remember I am the guy that just about lost a rod & reel along with
"O-Crap, I've never done that before"! But success and
it was retrieved and we didn't need your dog to fetch it. Let me
know when the next hot bite happens, both Don and I had a great time.
Your a fun guy and a great guide to handle a rowdy dude like me! So e-mail
soon. Chow Mien Salmon!"

"Mark, Thanks again for the weekend run, we had a great time on
Saturday. Let me know what will be the best time for my two boys
to go with you this winter for a guided Steelhead trip. They seemed excited when I
asked them yesterday. The picture of Kelly and you with the King
was great. The trip was fun as always. Say hi to your dog
and we'll see ya later".

"I
asked the others to
pass
your contact info onto anyone who is interested. They have
your website address now so they will book something with family &
friends."
Thanks again, Ron Spliethof - Lake

- "Yeah! I finally caught my first salmon! Mark was exactly
what I needed. I've caught steelhead, but never salmon. Mark
had our first salmon on within an hour of setting out on the water.
Mark knew the river well and we fished every inch of good water,
He set me up, but also taught me how to fish for salmon along the way.
He was open, easy to be around and very personable. I ended up
with two beautiful salmon for a fantastic BBQ when I got home. I'm
looking forward to our next trip! Thanks Mark!"

- "I wish I
could go again. I just wanted to thank you again for the trip.
I've fished with more than a few guides over the years and I would
rank you up there with the best of them including some of my closest
friends. You put me on fish, instructed as needed, and provided me with
a base of knowledge to not only fish the river we were on, but a variety
of the Steelhead rivers in the state. What incredible fish Steelhead
are. Hopefully things work out and I have the opportunity to make
Washington my home, but if not I plan to make the Olympic Peninsula one
of my top out of State destinations. It will be awhile until I have any
firm dates but, next March or early April I plan on hiring you again.
Can't wait to get the pictures."
